We are finishing the mixing of recording JAZZ ORCHESTRA OF GALICIA. Soon will the book-disk and present the orchestra in a great festival.
As of 30/10/14 the act in Coruña "Garufa Blue Devils Big Band". Composed of 18 musicians on stage, this formation recalls the era of the big bands of the Swing and most memorable Broadway shows. His repertoire based on specific original arrangements for this band covers the typical styles that marked an entire era and brings to the present through this training to perform at the iconic coruñés club (club Garufa).
Together with the orchestra, we hear great guest voices and other surprises.

The next SATURDAY MAY 26 in ROSALIA DE CASTRO THEATRE (A
CORUÑA), at 21 hours, presents the book + dvd drive + "ORQUESTRA
VOLAND "Oito pezas Europeas" with a concert in which the very
ORQUESTRA VOLAND interpret the songs written by Roberto Somoza
forming the repertoire of the disc, one of the elements of the project.
The other is a novel in which Quinito Mourelle tells the
vicissitudes of an imaginary orchestra during a tour of some
European countries: Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ucriania, France,
Poland, Germany and Spain. The music you hear on the
stage of the Rosalia de Castro Theatre, is a starting point and
the folklore inspiration from those countries.

The orchestra Voland is a project that combines music and literature.
Related Mourelle Quinito novel (Voland Orchestra), the music is in many European countries and includes some of the most important folk traditions the band collected during an imaginary journey that begins in Bulgaria and ends in Madrid.
This project will come out the month of March with hard-book format via the publisher Ézaro (Santiago de Compostela) and will be available in bookstores and specialized centers.

Presentation at the Opera House of the "JAZZ ORCHESTRA OF GALICIA"
12/15/2010 was the presentation of "Jazz Orchestra of Galicia" with
the dance company "Nova Galega de Danza."
The concert, part of the presentation of the brand new Turgalicia, was
attendance of 1500 people, and had the presence of President of the Xunta
Alberto Núñez Feijoo or the Regional Minister of Culture Roberto Varela.
The orchestra, directed by Roberto Somoza and coordinated by Pedro Lamas, had a successful
unanimous among the audience, and wants to cover a totally modern and avant-garde
in music and culture in Galicia.
